). What type of animals typically come with the petting zoo? Barnyard package: mini goats, bunnies, exotic jacob sheep, llama (or 2 alpacas), mini chickens, our trick-performing pig, & our mini donkey. barnyard plus exotic package includes the above animals &: exotic patagonian cavies, exotic zebu cow, miniature muntjac deer (coming soon), sulcata tortoise (weather permitting), & emu (coming soon).
). Are you insured? YES! If requested, customers are able to be added as an additional insured at a cost of approximately $105 (this price has been lower, depending on what the insurance co. bills us).
). What areas do you serve? In general, we serve Middle & West Tennessee & Southern Kentucky. We limit our travel time to 2 hours & less 1-way from erin, tn. to events for the comfort of our animals.
). Will there be a mess from the animals when you leave? Molly's Ark makes every effort to clean every mess made by the animals. The only way you will know we had been there is by the memorable pictures you have taken! :)
). What if we have a petting zoo party scheduled & it rains? We are able to bring our petting zoo animals indoors (garage/barn, etc.) without leaving a mess. We put a tarp with bedding under the animals, & simply roll up the tarp when the event is over. there is a $50 fee to come indoors or if we have to use our tarps/bedding on hard surfaces. If indoor shelter is not available, you can reschedule for another date that we have available.
). Are your animals friendly? Our animals are VERY friendly. We interact & love on them daily & they are very accustomed to pets, pats, & even hugs & kisses! They are, however, animals, & there are always risks when interacting with them. These risks have been extensively outlined in Molly's Ark release of liability form.
). What happens to your animals if you can't use them anymore in the petting zoo? NOTHING! just as all people aren't suited for the same job, neither are animals. if any of our animals do not like the petting zoos or are unable to go, they get to stay home & continue their happy life on our farm just as they always do.
). What does USDA licensed & inspection mean? The USDA requires that every petting zoo in operation be licensed. They come to our farm & inspect our animals, their living conditions, & every aspect of our animal operations. This ensures the health & safety of both our animals & the public.
). Do customers have to pay for the cost of the time it takes to set up/take down the petting zoo? No. The only cost to you is our start & end time designated for your party, round-trip mileage, & any indoor fees, if applicable.
